I am going to base these off the D+D template for Blood Cry and Storm Avatar.
Name: Blood Cry
Spell Type: Enchantment
Apperance: This isn't an attack. Its a sort of buff-spell. Its appearance is explained in Effect, the casting is such as that of a red mist surrounding the character that casts.
Ability/Power: Blood Cry is adding Blade Lust properties to a weapon. It causes Wounding damage, cuts that will not heal for hours, sometimes days, depending on how deep. The bladed weapon gains a ruby-red sheen across the cutting surface, and seems to suck blood up into itself, increasing the duration, which is typically 1 hour per character level. (For RP purposes, quite some time in a fight, if any hits are scored.)
Name: Storm Avatar
Spell Type: Druid, Evocation, Enchantment
Apperance: In casting, a gale seems to take up around the character. It does not cause any damage, and takes almost five whole minutes to cast. It is a buff spell, and harnesses the powers of nature to bolster its protector.
Ability/Power: Storm Avatar turns the caster into a veritable force of nature. Enemies attacking are swinging weaponry and spells through a thin shielding of hail, rain, sleet, and high winds. If they come in contact with flesh, or fur in this case, a lightning bolt strikes out along the conduit of attack. Among the myriad effects to an attacker, the character floats as if wind supports them(Freedom of Movement, area properties lose effect.), they grow strong with the help of the Earth(Slight bonus to strength and damage reduction.), and Heat no longer bothers them due to all of the wind and ice swirling about.
This spell takes a lot of power to cast, along with time, and after its short duration is over, the caster is left at 50% movement speed, and a vulnerability to Cold damage, as well as a Fatigued state. Can only be cast one per week(RL time.)
Hope these don't seem overpowered, Storm Avatar is a last-ditch attempt kind of a spell.
