Ulpax vs. Anyone

((Recycling intro post because I'm lazy))

Ulpax appeared on a small, deserted, concrete plain. The plain had a massive fountain in the middle, composed of geometric shapes that seemed to have been thrown together to make the most odd form they could. If one unfocused their gaze on the fountain and looked just beyond it, some said they could see the nobody symbol out of the corner of their eye where the fountain was. Ulpax had never tried this, and was not going to that day. Like any good plain, this one was surrounded by massive structures. In the place of trees, however, these were buildings. The buildings looked to be old apartment buildings and offices; Uplax was in a town square of some sort.

"Come my love, Lady Fiona." He said quietly, holding his hand out in front of him. A blue light formed around his hand, spiraling around it in the shape of hexagons. The hexagons broke apart, flying away from his hand and forming the outline of a large scythe. Color shot from each hexagon to the next, forming the base color of the scythe, then forming the details. Soon enough, Ulpax had his Lady Fiona Scythe in hand. Swinging it at the air, he began to work out the kinks in his wrist and form. It has been too long... Ulpax thought to himself as he caressed the shaft of the scythe lovingly.

In the distance about the length of a football field was Naraca walking straight towards Ulpax and Naraca was smiling a big smile as he wathced the Nobody infront of him swing around his giant scythe with such skill and precison. Naraca had a bit of experience fighting nobodys with scythe's. However it wasent enough to know just what exackly a skilled scythe user could do.

HEY YOU!!!!

Naraca yelled as loud as he could making sure Ulpax could hear him. Naraca's red coat swayed slightly as Naraca started to walk a little faster in hopes that Ulpax would notice Naraca

I'LL FIGHT YOU!!!!!!!......YOU WANNA FIGHT ME?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Pax spun around on the heels of his shining, black, leather dress shoes. The scythe didn't move from its position, cradled in his two hands like a precious sceptre. His suit coat swayed slightly in and incoming breeze, the same breeze tousling the small amount of hair that peeked out from beneath the brim of his signature top hat. The top hat itself seemed as if it wouldn't move, no matter how much the wind blew. It stayed where it was, a black animal sitting itself on the crown of its head. The red ribbon around its waist seemed to glow slightly in the dim moonlight, giving him a ghostly and eerie look to him. His pale skin was guarded from light by the brim of his hat, shadowing over the features of his elegantly carved face. Behind the shadows, dark brown eyes scanned over the man who had so stupidly charged in and announced himself. His gaze was one of contempt, his lips twisted into a slight frown. He took three steps forward and brought the scythe in closer to his chest. Suddenly, the blade expanded in a flash, extending its entire nine foot limit. Though it could only go nine feet, it was still more than enough to pierce the man through his sternum, tearing his ribcage in half and splitting him into two uneven pieces.

Naraca smiled at the sight of the now nine foot long scythe. To some people the length of the scythe would be a major problem. However to Naraca, it was was a big advantage. Naraca examined the scythe wielding man and saw had no form of armour or protection around his body and while it was ture that this man dident look human and most likely was not. Naraca's Gilgamesh gauntlets had a reputaion of breaking and sometimes shattering bones with one punch and since the man wore no armour it was a near garentee that one good hit could this fight. As for the sythce the problem with the length of a weapon like a scythe also is nearly useless once past the blade and Naraca had a feeling that this man was so good with hand to hand combat what with his delicate apperence. To compare Naraca and the man in terms of pyshique and muscularity is laughible. Under Naraca clothes is a body with almost no body fat at all but it is instead repleced with iron hard muscle. Everywhere you look on Naraca's body you would see a hard and powerful muscle. When it came to brute force, Naraca was one of the best. Naraca's brown eyes fixated on the man with the scythe.

Naraca got much close to the man now standing only twenty feet from him

"Before we fight...Why don't you tell me your name"


He asked politing hoping this man had some manners

((I don't think you understand this, but twenty feet is about two stories, I wouldn't hear your voice. Also, that would be like, standing on either end of the field and chatting. I implied you being within 9 feet when I attacked you with the blade of my scythe?))

Pax only shook his head, clenching his fists. Suddenly, the cyan shaft of the scythe shattered into millions of fragments of light, the blade fading into nothingness. He didn't need a weapon for this man, this fight would end in the man's fall without the need to exhaust his Lady. After all, she wasn't very thirsty at the moment. Taking a few steps closer to the man, he raised one and in a seemingly polite gesture. Suddenly, the hand shot forward in a blur of white and black. The hand aimed to strike the man in the soft spot that was directly beneath the joint where his right arm and shoulder connected, aiming to tear the muscle and leave it useless. The attack itself was powerful enough to pierce through bone, tissue, and muscles, even block a steel blade coming at him at full force. It was reinforced by a passive magic he didn't like to use too often.

Naraca frowned slightly seeing that the man did not want to give out his name. At the moment He saw the mans scythe fade away Naraca had the idea this man was going to fight hand to hand however it was a little odd that the man put his weapon right when Naraca thought that this man was very good at hand to hand "can he read my mind perhaps" Naraca thought to himself knowing that with magic and summons now a days, anything was possible. Naraca then saw the man raise his arm up politely, this dident add up to Naraca no man would refuse to say his name and then suddenly raise his arm in what Naraca thought was a hand shake. Suddenly there was a flash and Naraca reacted right away since Naraca would always keep his guard up. Naraca did however not expect what was basiclly a bullet. Jumping to the side would be to slow so Naraca quickly jerked his shoulder back and tryed to avoid the bullet like weapon. However Naraca then felt a sharp pain in his shoulder.

Naraca looked at his shoulder after he jerked his shoulder and he saw a deep cut in his shoulder that was bleeding quite a bit. He was very good at pushing pain aside so this dident hurt Naraca as much as it normally but Naraca knew that pain or not...This was a severe wound. Naraca put his hand on the wound and with the help of his Gilgamesh greaves he jumped 10 feet to the right and went behind one of the large structures. "Damn it...the guy can fire bullets?" Naraca dident see that it was the mans hand and he thought it was some bullet for a hidden weapon or some magic. Either way this man was dangerous and Naraca had to think up a way to get close. Naraca quickly reached in his pocket and pulled out a banana he would wear if he got sweaty. Naraca quickly wrapped the bandana around his wound to stop the bleeding. Naraca then moved to the egde of the cornor and his listed to see if the man would move toward Naraca or wait until Naraca got close

"Alright...what are you gonna do?"

Ulpax sighed, hopping backward and taking up an odd martial arts stance. If one was artistically abstract at heart, and had a vivid imagination, they might compare him to a panther. His stance was coiled, powerful, and yet somehow graceful. Each foot was spread apart to just before shoulder length, allowing for stability as well as support if her were to jump upward or forward. Each hand was brought into a claw-like fist, and locked in their positions. His right hand was waiting patiently at his waist, the left one brought forward with the knuckles facing his opponent. His back was bent downward, bringing his entire body closer as his knees bent and he coiled himself in preparation to pounce. The tails of his coat and the locks of hair that were free from the restricting boundaries of his hat were both wavering in the almost unnoticeable breeze.

Pax's gaze was cold and unmoving, nearly powerful enough to pierce through his opponents and cause them to bleed out without Pax having to even move himself. His face was stony and unrevealing, no emotion passing from the iron-tight boundaries of the flesh that covered his skull. It seemed he was trained in both the art of intimidation and the chaotic style of the panther. Both together were more a deadly pair than even a tiger stylist with their speciality hook swords.

"I am not strong, or fast. I am not stealthy or extremely talented. I am only intelligent and unforgiving, but that should be more than enough to take on a simple-minded brute like yourself. If this comment angers you or insults you, then come at me and prove me wrong. I guarantee you that you will die embarrassed." He said tauntingly, though there was no real tone in his voice. It was as if his voice was implying that it had a tone that implied taunting, but didn't actually have one. Someone who was really gifted in reading people would be able to see that Pax was not afraid, or amused, he was not taunting anyone. He was simply stating a fact and offering someone a chance to prove him wrong.

Naraca never really thought of himself as a brute but what with being extremely strong and tough and not to mention his Gilgamesh gauntlet and greaves that made him 3x times stronger he did not doubt the title of "Brute" when it was given to him. By hearing Ulpaxes comment Naraca only smiled realizing that he was going to fight hand to hand and not with his over-sized scythe. Naraca was very good and not letting people get under his skin since he dident wanna start randomly throwing punches garrenteeing a sure fire loss. Naraca then took a peek at the end of the building and he saw Ulpax in his fighting stance. Normally Naraca wouldent trust such an action and especilly a nobody. However He had a feeling that this man was going to stay true to his word. He stopped leaning on the wall and put his weight on his feet, walking away from the building and face to face with Ulpax

"Intelligent huh" Naraca said as he examined Ulpax. He wasent very big compared to Naraca and he dident seem very muscular. If this was human Naraca was dealing with he would be able to break this man to bits. However this was a nobody he was dealing with and thus his apperence was not what showed him how powerful he was. Naraca that remined him self that standing there wouldent show him a thing accept more questions. Naraca nodded his head slightly and he then simply walked towards Ulpax with clenched fists. The Gilgamesh gauntlets he wore started to glow a bright orange and a bright purple. Steam started to leak from the gauntlets and greaves like they were boiling tea. Naraca's head bobed up and down slightly from the way he was now carrying himself. Naraca called this "the unstoppable wall" its were you always move forward with each strike and leave no opening but also keep the pressure on your opponent. If your opponent tryed to counter by going behind you or by trying to twist one of your limbs. You simply muscle through them as they perform any type of counter. If they try to sweep the legs you pounce forward over the leg and right on top them effectivly putting to wall right on top of them. Then you pound them into the ground. This stance doesent with many people but Naraca could make it work very well.

As Naraca moved forward he asked "you wanna attack first? ot should I?" He asked politly with a smile

The man seemed to not be bothered by the comment, which was neither pleasing nor disappointing to Pax, he wasn't aiming for bothering his opponent. Such low tactics never worked, it was an age of level heads and intelligent fighters. Even the brutes had the sense to not let words touch them, after all if they wouldn't let blows touch them why would they let words have the luxury? Then, the man took up a stance. It seemed to be more malleable than most of the brutish stances Pax had seen in his days of combat, the man was skilled. However, skill in death was nothing more than a good story to tell at their funeral.

There was no response, not even an acknowledgement of the man's question as Pax pounced. He was a blur as he disappeared, pounding onto the cobble stones with his feet to send himself high into the air. Suddenly, he landed in front of his opponent once again, crouched low with his claw-like fist thrust forward toward his opponent's muscular abdomen. The piercing power of a shotgun shell was guiding his claw as he snapped it forward with the speed of a bullet as well. Knowing too well what kind of position he had placed himself in, Pax had already placed all of his weight in his legs to allow himself to drop and roll at any minute. His free hand was brought close, prepared to parry and counter according to any single-handed strike the man made. His eyes were constantly scanning, leaving his instincts for aiming as he watched every limb of the man, including his head, with quick glances. Pax was a cautious and intelligent fighter, he wouldn't go down on the first strike.

Naraca was impressed at the speed this nobody possessed and Naraca knew he would have to keep his wits about this nobody. You might go so far as to say this is Brawn Vs. Brain. However Naraca knew all to well that brain would always have the advantage. It apprered that the nobody was intending on stopping the unstoppable wall by using claws. Being a very big man Naraca always knew that he would have to most likely fight opponents that were his opposite such as a more speedy and technical opponent such as this nobody.

This nobody was fast that's for sure. However, Naraca has slowly been getting used to fighting fast fighters. Naraca was barely able to keep up with this nobody. However, the nobody had vanished in a blur and though it may not seem like it that gave Naraca a split second chance to counter this speedy attack. Naraca left arm moved up towards his abdomen and just as it was there the nobody's tiger fist was right in front of Naraca's hand. He then simply closed his grip and he just barely caught the nobody's wrist. Naraca's grip was like a vice clamp that was closing more and more when it took hold of something. The reason why the Gilgamesh gauntlets and greaves were glowing and giving off steam was that they were in fact charging and when they charge it makes Naraca's arms and legs even more powerful then they already were. Once Naraca had the nobodys wrist in his hands Naraca then pulled the nobody toward his right fist that Naraca launched towards the nobody's chest. When charged, Naraca's punches were like getting smacked by the express train during rush hour. Of course though the charged only lasted for one punch or kick so if this punch missed then the charge would be gone.

Pax smiled as the man maneuvred around his attack. He grabbed Pax's wrist, which was fine for him, it meant that the next step of his plan would succeed. He knew he didn't have long with his magic, and that it was now time for action. He was pulled forward, picked up off of his feet as he sailed toward the man's fist. However, there was still the open hand that was held close. It suddenly snapped forward, the open palm catching the punch as he felt himself being yanked backward. However, he was still being held by the man, so he didn't move at all. He felt pain shoot through his arm, but knew that the magic had protected him from physical damage. Still, he gasped a little at the pain out of reflex. Suddenly, a bright cyan light appeared between them, forming around the hand that he had grabbed onto. The hand that had blocked his punch suddenly clenched down around his gauntlet, holding him down just as he had attempted to hold Pax down. The light formed into his Lady Fiona Scythe, just inches from the man's ribcage. The blade appeared, piercing through the air and most likely his entire body, as he would have little to no chance of sneaking his way out of such a tight spot. Everything had fallen into place, and even if the man found a way out, Pax was already preparing for the next step of his plan.

Naraca eyes widened as the nobody caught Naraca's punch. No one has ever directly caught Naraca's punches before never mind a charged punch. Something was wrong here and Naraca had a really bad feeling in the pit of his stomach about what this Nobody was doing. Naraca had to react and fast, just as the nobody grabbed Naraca's gauntlet with the same hand that Naraca grabbed when he caught the nobodys tiger fist. In a split second Naraca remembered the large scythe that he was holding during the beginning of this fight. He remembered seeing the scythe dissapear in the nobodys hands. Oh no...It can't be. It was a long shot but Naraca had the idea that the nobody was planning to end this fight right now. Naraca had to do something, it dident matter what just something. Anything.

He dident know if this was going to turn agaisht him but it was he could do. just and the nobody took a hold of Naraca gauntlet Naraca quickly took a step forward with his left foot and he then launched his right knee up straight towards the nobodys chin while at the same time Naraca kept his head down. If Naraca's prediction was correct, when the nobodys scythe would apper it would shoot over Naraca's head due to Naraca kneeing the nobodys chin and causing the nobody to go a few feet in the air. It was a long shot but if this worked not only would Naraca be saved for impending death but Naraca could also keep the wall moving forward. All he could do now was hope that this work and hope that his knee would land and hope....That he would live.

His plan was going just as he hoped it would, he knew people well and he knew that this man could think in the heat of battle. He knew this purely because he knew the man was a skilled fighter, and you didn't become a skilled hand-to-hand fighter with brute power, you needed to be able to read movements and think ahead. Fighting with your hands was like chess, while fighting with weapons was more like poker. It still took skill and a bit of strategy, but it was mostly luck and hoping your opponent can't read you. Sadly, Pax was more of a gambling man himself. He preferred the thrill of the scythe over the ennui of thought. As a result, he wasn't all that skilled in hand-to-hand combat. Well, he was skilled, he just happened to hate it with a passion causing him to be less spectacular than he had the potential to be.

Pax began to glow a deep, yet pale, violet shade as magic shot out of him. It took the form of ten or so nobody symbols, all formed of magical energy and floating about. The most crucial of these was the one that appeared between his opponent's knee and the path it was taking. Having the strength of a scythe blade, the nobody symbol would impact with the opponents knee and stop it, more than likely also piercing through the kneecap and tearing it from the man's body. As this was happening the scythe blade still formed, piercing through the air and going in to cut his opponent in half. In order to focus the magic, however, he had released his strengthening magic, causing him to be left with only partial strength. So, to avoid his opponent backing out of his grip, he moved the other symbols in to float around them, leaving him with nowhere to turn without getting seriously hurt. Pax was a panther, after all, he enjoyed turning his opponent's strengths against them, and this opponent's strength was that he could take a hit and deal just as much damage, pushing his enemy forward and leaving them with no openings. This was a common tactic with the physically strong and skilled, so Pax had developed techniques for beating it years before.

((Thank you, you to are giving me a run for my money as well. By the way I know my avatar shows the Gilgamesh greave just covering from my foot to ankle but when it just covers the foot and ankle its just a boot. However Naraca wears a greave and a greave covers from foot to knee))


Naraca was in trouble this time. How could he stop both a scythe coming to his side and some magical attack coming to his knee. Naraca knew that no matter what he did he wouldent come out of this unscared. Ever since He was young Naraca had to train day in and day out and work hard for even something as simple as a sip of water. His parents always told him to work hard and never give up the fight. Naraca always said that he was practically born lifting a weight or running a lap. However this was much more then just a work out, this was a fight and this was a fight for his life. One lesson Naraca had to learn as a child was that he couldent hold back. That was Naraca's biggest problem when he fought. Holding back. After a sparring match with his father he said told Naraca something that he wouldent forget. He told Naraca that as he fought all he could feel from Naraca was fear, fear and pain. When Naraca would attack he was afraid of killing, when he would counter he was afraid of failing. When he protected someone he was afraid he would fail. So Naraca's father simply told him this. "Its simple when you counter you don't fail, when you attack you kill and when you protect someone you succeed....That's all there is to it"

Naraca knew that he had no choice now. This nobody was going to kill him and he was going to do so as fast and as soon as possible. Naraca ran his fathers words through his head one more time and he knew what he had to do. Naraca's knee was hit hard by the magic. However The Gilgamesh greave covered his knee and it was made to take strong hits from both magic and blades. This magic attack was both but Naraca did charge his Gilgamesh gauntlets and greave's. He had never done it before but maybe he could use the impact of the blade and slam his foot on the ground in order to create a powerful shockwave. Naraca then did just that. The magic hit Naraca knee and even though it was protected hit hurt alot more then he thought it would. The pain surged through his knee and down to his tibiafibula (Tibiafibula=shin bone). It hurt but Naraca's foot slammed down on the ground using both the inpact of the magic, Naraca's strength and the charge in his right Gilgamesh greave. It was a sucess, by Naraca's foot slamming down on the ground it created a powerful shockwave that was strong enough lift the nobodys body weight up and off the ground and it would pick him up by a foot. Naraca then quickly yanked his left arm away from the nobodys grip and by doing so his left Gilgamesh gauntlet slammed into the sharp blade of the scythe just enough push it away from cutting Naraca in half. The clash of the Gauntlet and the scythe made a loud clang that made Naraca ears ring since it was so close. Instead it deeply cut Naraca's back and his back dripped with red blood. Naraca was in the middle of something and he couldent let the pain distract him. Naraca then quickly took hold of handle egde that was just an inch away from the blade.

Finally Naraca then pulled the scythe close to him and he pulled to nobody closer to him in process. Naraca then finally trusted his right arm forward and though it wasent charged his reuglar punch was like getting it by a car going 70 an hour. Naraca aimed for the nobodys gut. If this worked the nobody would fly a good 6 feet forward and since the shockwaveof Naraca's foot slamming on the ground was capable of lifting the nobody in the air all Naraca would have to care about was his strong punch landing in the nobodys gut. Not to mention that Naraca was also holding the nobodys scythe. If this worked The nobody would be 6 feet away from Naraca and disarmmed at the same time. However if the nobody countered this Naraca dident know what else he could he do. This was it. This was Naraca's last attempt at survival. From here he could only prey.

[[I'm afraid my muse isn't coming back any time soon...so I'm going to end this. You fought well]]

Pax was sure he had won it, be he hadn't. He, however, would not go down alone. Pax knew that this man would kill him if he didn't think of a way out fast. So, as the man countered every move Pax began to think. Thinking, remember, was not his favourite thing to do, so it wasn't going to end all that well for him. So, as the man kicked down and launched his body into the air, Pax prepared his plan. Suddenly, the spades that remained from his spell formed a complete circle around them. As he was pulled inward, so was the spell. Pax was struck in the gut, knocking all of the air out of his body and causing him to go limp, but he did not fly backward. A spade protruded through his back and gut, two to be exact. These spades couldn't pierce the metal armor of the gauntlets, but they pinned Pax to his opponent. The spades would converge on them both, the scythe blade now stuck in the ground to root both of them in place. The spades flew at blinding speeds, aiming to tear both of them to shreds.
